Goal Not Resolution

Ah! Here we are in another year. I thought for a change of paste I would not have resolutions but goals. I feel the word resolution is a downer.   It means to find a solution to a problem. I admit there are many problems but wouldn’t goals be more up lifting. Instead of finding solutions to my life’s problems, why not create goals to achieve and create a new path.

So here they are in black and white. I am making the readers of this blog my witness to my intentions for 2015. One person I met has even gone so far as to put them month by month. I am not as ambitious but will keep you in the loop of when I complete a goal.

  1. Better Health: I know cliche and often a lofty goal.  Every year millions of people say this is the year I lose weight. I just want to be healthier. I did get the nutritional almanac to drive towards my goal.
  2. Have a Definite Career Path: Yes I know the path is often twisted and clarity is abstract, but just maybe there can be a formatted structure of coloring thy parachute.
  3. Write More: I have said that I am not Ayn Rand or Jack Kerouac.  I just use writing to get things out.  Alas the only finished piece I have ever written was a play long gone.  I have often started writing an auto biography but never really finished it past chapter one. Perhaps I will revisit the play and but it down again or write a very short story.
  4. Connect With my Friends Who I Have Lost Touch With: Not by the way of the computer unless they are far away. But rather by way of gathering at a place to catch up on what we have missed.  I feel I have lost touch with those I enjoyed the company of.

I am sure there a million little goals that I need to complete but the ones above seem to be the  goals that will give be a sense of accomplishment.  I will tell you as I said if I have completed any of the goals. I hope that you will have met your New Years goals.
